F.A.Q.

Fuel Economy Specialists

What kind of results can I expect to see?

This is usually the first thing most people want to know. The increase in efficiency you experience depends on a number of factors, including: the weight of your vehicle in proportion to the size of your engine, the size and shape of your vehicle that creates wind drag, and the kind of driving you do, whether it is mostly on the highway or if you do a lot of stopping. Most vehicles should see between 20% and 30% increase in fuel economy.

What kind of maintenance/service is required on this equipment?

Periodically the water and electrolyte in the reservoir needs to be checked and filled. Every few months it would be a good idea to inspect the equipment to make sure that all fasteners are secure and all wires and hoses and other parts are in good shape.

Will this void the warranty on my vehicle/equipment?

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) .

If this technology is so great, why don't they put in on vehicles from the factory?

The reality is that this will probably be an option in the not-too-distant future. There are some exciting advances being made in fuel economy and alternative methods that will revolutionize the transportation industry. Until it is available from the factory it has to be installed aftermarket.

Are there any warranties or guarantees on the equipment?

Yes, each manufacturer has their own warranties and guarantees on the products. If this is important to you be sure to look for this on the maufacturer's website. At Gainesville Fuel Savers we merely install the equipment for you if you don't want to do it yourself, so we do not offer any warranties, but your satisfaction is very important to us. We are here locally and want to work with you in the event of any problems.
